Fractional Marketing, Project Management & AI Ops
Ex-Meta | The New York Times | The Wall Street Journal | Channel 4

About me

Hi, I’m Kim 👋🏽. I team up with founders and lean teams to figure things out, fix what’s not working, and move critical projects forward without the stress. With 15+ years in marketing and operations, I’ve worked within high-performing teams at Channel 4, Meta, The New York Times, and The Wall Street Journal. Now through Rekode, I bring that experience to smaller, faster-moving teams. I work at the intersection of marketing, operations, and delivery helping teams launch digital initiatives, build internal systems, improve documentation, and embed AI into workflows in ways that are actually useful. I’m a curious, cross-functional operator who learns quickly, adapts easily, and isn’t afraid to experiment. I ask the right questions, cut through complexity, and create simple systems that help teams work better, not harder.Flexible, fractional support that fits your pace and can scale up when your team needs more.

What I do

I help small, ambitious teams deliver better, faster work.

  • Flexible project management that keeps things moving.

  • A neutral partner with no internal agenda just clarity and a focus on moving things forward.

  • Documentation doesn’t get deprioritised. I build it quickly and clearly so teams can move faster.

  • Simple, useful AI tools to save time and reduce manual tasks.

  • Build lightweight, effective workflows.

  • AI integration in a way that works for your teams and business.

  • Free up your time to focus on higher-value work.

Ways we can work together

Flexible remote support from 1-3 days per week. Dependent on availability, I work with a maximum of 3 clients at a time and embed into your team or run alongside existing workflows to keep things moving:

Fractional marketing & project management

Get high-stakes projects delivered without full-time hires.→ For projects with lots of moving parts. Launching new content, a website, brand or tool? I’ll help shape it, manage it and keep it moving.✅ I embed part-time to guide your team, clear blockers, and make sure things ship. Think of me as your project partner in both strategy and delivery.

Digital documentation and scalable systems to future-proof your team

Lightweight processes and tools to help your team work better.→ For when things feel messy, scattered, or overly reliant on one person (usually you).✅ Clear documentation, lightweight workflows, and simple tools that make it easier to scale and onboard others.

Where AI Ops Comes In

AI is reshaping how teams operate, but adopting it isn’t just a technical task. You need someone who can bridge tools, people, and outcomes.
→ I help teams turn AI agents into working systems. Not as an engineer, but as a cross-functional operator who can map business needs to practical AI use cases, embed them into day-to-day workflows, and keep things running smoothly.
✅ I work with you to identify the right use cases, trial tools in agile, low-risk ways, and embed AI into existing workflows

Each service is offered on its own or combined as needed. We’ll figure out what’s most useful on a quick intro call.

Who I work with

  • Founders juggling too much

  • Marketing and content teams on deadline

  • Small teams scaling quickly

  • Project leads stuck in delivery chaos

If you’re spending your time chasing tasks instead of building your business, I can help.

Experience that delivers fast

I’ve worked on high-performing teams at some of the world’s leading tech and media companies.

Meta

Scaled Meta’s UK media agency pilot into a global success across 13 regions in six months, leading end-to-end delivery across production and project management.

"Kim is a creative thinker, adaptable in her approach, growth-minded, but at the core just a great person to work and partner with. She led the development and scaling of what was a small and fledgling project, into a truly global programme, that continues to be at the forefront of our partnership with our largest Media Agency customers." Global Program Manager, Meta.

The New York Times

Expanded brand initiatives across Europe and Asia, delivering the first international live broadcast of ‘The Daily’ for The New York Times.

"Kim worked on a wide range of marketing briefs and projects for the international division of The New York Times which comprises a wide range of business areas and teams based in Europe and Asia, and the work she did was invaluable in supporting their marketing initiatives and helping deliver business success." Marketing Director, The New York Times.

The Wall Street Journal

Delivered The Wall Street Journal’s largest sampling campaign with 1.2M copies distributed, lifting awareness from 86% to 95%.

"Kim has a very solid marketing background, combined with a broad range of experience, which means that she can easily adapt to a diverse range of projects" Partnerships Director, The Wall Street Journal.

My Substack

Can AI Really Create a Headshot That Looks Like You? I needed a new LinkedIn headshot, so I figured I’d use ChatGPT-4o to generate one, it should be slick, right? Professional, polished, done in minutes. But after weeks of prompting and testing different techniques, I still couldn’t get a result that looked close enough to the real me. Along the way, I came across a cool prompt on Instagram. Someone had used it to generate a portrait of their dog. I extracted the prompt using ChatGPT, tweaked it, and then reverse-engineered it to create a colour portrait prompt for myself. The result? It looked great… but again, it wasn’t me. It wasn’t until I listened to OpenAI’s podcast with Head of ChatGPT, Nick Turley, and Chief Research Officer Mark Chen that I understood why. It is to safeguard against misuse, like impersonation, deepfakes, or identity theft. AI doesn’t truly “recognise” faces. It can match general features like hair colour, skin tone, and lighting but it doesn’t have human-level facial recognition. It can’t look at your reference image and say, “This is Kim. Let’s match it exactly.” When you upload a photo, even a face, it’s only used temporarily to generate a response. It’s not stored, trained on, or shared. The most accurate headshot I got? About 80% there. Impressive but still not quite me, so I ended up taking a photo which took 5 minutes and I’ve gone with that instead. ——— Goal: Create a ‘corporate’ headshot for LinkedIn 📸 Model: Chat GPT 4.o Skill: Prompt engineering ——— Orignal Prompt for Black and Dog Visual I'd like a high-contrast, close-up portrait of my dog's face, shot in black and white. Please focus on the front of the head, capturing a proud expression with water droplets on the face if possible. Use a 35mm lens and aim for a crisp, high-definition (4K) quality look. The background should be completely black or in deep shadow, so only the dog’s face is visible. The profile should appear sharp and well-defined. Final image ratio should be 3:4. [Source: IG @hubertthegoldenretriver] ——— Revised Prompt for (Human) Realistic Colour Portrait Photography Brief: Portrait Goal: A striking, high-contrast close-up portrait in colour— detailed, realistic, and flattering while staying true to how I look. Key Requirements: • Framing: Close-up of my face only (head and a little shoulder if needed). Crop ratio should be 3:4. • Lens & Quality: Use a 35mm lens to create a sharp, cinematic feel. Aim for a 4K-resolution image that’s crisp and high-definition. • Lighting & Tone: Use dramatic lighting to enhance contrast. The background should be pure light or in deep shadow, so the focus remains entirely on my face. • Style: Colour. Aim for something timeless, sharp, and expressive — think editorial-style, but still natural and warm. • Wardrobe: Please make sure I’m wearing a plain white shirt — simple and clean, no visible logos or designs. A simple black bomber jacket on top, something classic and timeless. • Retouching: Light retouching is fine, but do not alter my features. It should feel authentic, accurate, and confident — not over-edited. #ai #photography #creative #production
